Tight Curls For Us Straight Haired Girls

Okay ya'll, I've been meaning to do this post for a while, since last Mardi Gras to be exact lol. But as you can see in the picture, I've got my party lipstick and my beads on so whoot! whoot! Okay so back on topic. I have really straight hair and even when I use a curling iron it's hard for me to get tight, bouncy curls and I heard about this idea from a friend and thought that I would try it. The steps are below!

Step 1: Make sure your hair is clean and just a little damp. You really need to have clean hair so when you take it out it doesn't look dirty before you even get to wear it on a night on the town! Also, having just barely damp hair is important too because if its still wet at all when you take it out the curls wont hold! I know this from lots of years of experience with super fine hair!

Step 2: Start at the bottom of your head and separate sections. Not too big , you can kind of see in the picture how thick mine were. Pin the rest of your hair up on your head just to keep it out of the way.

Step 3: Get your straws out and ready to use. Wrap your section around the straw starting in the middle so that when you get it all the way wrapped you have space on both ends to tie it.

Step 4: Tie the ends of the straw together. They stay really well if you tie it in a double knot. Kind of like what you see in the lower left picture.

Step 5: Go to bed and try to sleep with straws stabbing you all night long!

Step 6: Untie the straws and use a pick comb to separate them without making them frizzy. My curls were really tight and I wanted them to be just a little looser so I used hair oil to help loosen them up. If you still feel like they are still too tight then close the door to your bathroom and turn on the shower with the temp all the way up and they should loosen a little more but don't do it for too long or you'll have straight hair all over again!

I hope this works out for you all! If your sick of always having straight hair, this is a really fun and easy way to change things up! Let me know how it works for you!
